How do I reach Maid as Needed?

In many cases you can take a self-serve approach and handle most things via your online account. However you can always reach out to us by phone or email.

How do I schedule a home cleaning online?

To schedule online, all you have to do is fill out some details about what you need, who you are, pick a date/time and wait for a confirmation to arrive.

Why do I have to enter a zip code when booking online?
You must enter a zip code in order for us to determine the pricing and if we service your area.
How do I select a date and time?
During the 2nd step of the booking form, you can select from available dates/times.
What does Living Area Mean?

Living areas are common areas used within the house such as a Dining Room, Living Room, Sitting Room, Separate Office, Playroom, Finished Basement, etc. **Kitchen should not be included**

What does Animal in home mean?

Typically dogs or cats however could include any animal not in a cage, habitat or other enclosed environment.

When will I get a booking confirmation?
You will get a confirmation as soon as we assign a cleaning team to your booking via email and SMS. This is usually instant but could take up to 15 minutes depending on availability and service area. 
Is a long-term contract required for service?

Absolutely not. Our services are provided as needed to suit your busy lifestyle. There are no long-term contracts or obligations required. You can manage all your bookings online through the account profile we set up for you.

What is a Flat Rate Service?
  • Any quotes without hourly rates are flat rates, meaning that there are no restrictions or additional fees based on time.
  • Your fee is based on the quality and completion of the job. We cannot offer a discount because the provider completed the job faster or slower than anticipated
  • We cannot complete any cleaning of outdoor areas, biohazards, inside machinery like dishwasher, washing machines, inside the stove hood, etc.
  • We can provide an estimate for the length of the service, however we cannot guarantee how long the appointment will take.
  • The cleaner(s) cannot perform junk removal larger than a few regular sized trash bags, so please be sure that any large debris are removed or relocated prior to the cleaning.
  • Please empty all cabinets and defrost all freezers prior to a service with these extras, if applicable.
  • The cleaner(s) will bring all necessary supplies unless you'd like them to use something specific, in which case it can be left on premises for them with instructions on how/where to use.
  • Please note that the cleaner(s) will not be able to bring a step stool or ladder, so if there are any extremely high or out of reach areas that you'd like cleaned, we ask that you provide a safe means of access.
What is green Home Cleaning?
Green cleaning refers to using cleaning methods and products with environmentally friendly ingredients and procedures which are designed to preserve human health and environmental quality. Green cleaning can also describe the way residential and industrial cleaning products are manufactured, packaged and distributed.
We find this many customer have specific eco-friendly cleaning products they like to use. With that in mind If you would like our team to use green products please provide those products to the team upon arrival. 
Do you furnish the cleaning supplies?

Yes. We furnish everything needed to clean your home free of charge.

What should I expect on my first appointment?

We will arrive at your home at the scheduled time. We will be equipped with all the cleaning supplies and equipment needed to thoroughly clean your home.

Your first appointment generally takes the longest, as we will need time to get acquainted with a new environment. Subsequent appointments will move along faster.

Do I need to do anything before you arrive?

The best way to prepare for your cleaners is to straighten up as much as possible. That way the cleaners can focus their efforts on cleaning up dust and grime, not putting things in their places. “It’s best if people pick up or straighten up their items," like toys and clothes.

Will I have the same cleaning person each visit?

Yes. You will have the same cleaning professional for each visit. We know how important it is to have someone you know and trust cleaning your home. 

What will it cost to have my home cleaned?

The cost will depend on how large your home is and the amount of cleaning required. The average cost for basic house cleaning starts at $100.00. Average cost for one time deep/spring cleanings start at $200.00. Please note that larger homes will be at a higher rate. Get your online quote here.

Do I need to be home the day of cleaning?

Some customers prefer scheduling cleaning appointments while they are at work or away for the day, while others like to be at home during the process. This is up to you. 

Can I skip or reschedule an appointment?

If you anticipate needing to change an appointment time, we ask for 24 hour notice to adjust and account for scheduling. You can make this change in the following ways.

**Note same day cancelations may be subject to a $50 cancelation fee.

How will you enter my home on my scheduled days of cleaning?

We leave this up to you, whatever you feel most comfortable with. 1. You may give us a key. 2. You can leave a key under a door mat the day of cleaning. 3. You can give us the code to the garage. 4. You can leave the door unlocked the day of cleaning.

What if I am not satisfied with my cleaning?

Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. That is why our team does a complete walk through at the end of each clean to ensure your satisfaction.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with your home cleaning, we will re-clean the area you are dissatisfied with. 

Do you offer house cleaning gift certificates?

Yes. You can purchase a cleaning gift certificate for just about any occasion.

How and when do I pay for my cleaning services?

We require a credit/debit card (we accept most major credit cards & debit cards as form of payment) at the time of booking to hold the cleaning appointment.

Your card is pre-authorized 2-3 days prior to your scheduled cleaning to ensure funds are available.

Your card is then charged once your cleaning is complete. 

**We do not accept payment by check or cash.

What if my card is declined during pre-authorization?

You will receive a call from us and asked to provide another card. If we are unable to secure a new card the cleaning will be canceled. 

Can I change my credit card on file?

Yes, you can change the credit/debit card on file within your secure online account or by calling us at 407-584-8021
